Diversity isn’t a buzzword.

It’s a requirement to treat our communities with clinical excellence.

Committed to training physicians from all backgrounds

to meet the needs of our diverse patient population.

We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive learning environment in which all residents can achieve their best.

George Floyd isn’t a one-off. The Black patient they took care of that died unnecessarily from a preventable condition isn’t a one-off. These stories are examples of larger problems that are occurring over and over again in our country. Unless we admit to that problem, we are not going to be able to fix the vicious cycle.

Dr. Fola May, MD, PhD, MPhil, UCLA Digestive Diseases

White Coats for Black Lives

Committed to actively dismantling structural racism in our organization.

Compassionate, inclusive and equitable care for our diverse LGBTQ community.

We seek inquisitive leaders willing to speak up and do what’s right.

I felt it was imperative to choose a program that was open to growth, change and had experience in developing leaders.

Lovelee Brown, MD, EDI Chief Resident, UCLA Internal Medicine

We Stand for Equity

We have a collective commitment to be anti-racist.

That commitment spans healthcare, education and in our society at large. We understand that combating structural racism requires structural change and are taking immediate actions to address this belief at the organization-wide level.
